The Trail That Met Me There
Over the past few months, I've been preparing my house to sell.
As I've cleaned, made some updates, packed, and sorted through too much stuff, I've done a lot of reflecting on the many experiences I’ve had here over the past eight years. This is the ninth house I’ve lived in during my 57 years. I expected it to be my last, but I’ve thought that before.
I love adventure, new experiences, and the possibility that comes with change, but I also crave routine, what’s familiar, and relationships …
What If It Doesn’t Have to Be a Process
Last month we hired someone to come in and refinish our hardwood floors. They were prefinished and installed when the house was built years ago. Over time, the finish had ambered, and it was time for a refresh. That top layer was hard to remove, and it took time. Watching the natural cherry emerge from under all that coating was pretty amazing.
It made me think about how often we approach ourselves in a similar way. We talk about stripping away layers, clearing what is not ours, getting to the…

Walking the Trail of Discernment
A few weeks ago, we got a pretty good amount of snow, so navigating the back trail was a bit tricky. But within a few days, we were back up in the 60s, and the snow melted off quickly. I was back out on the trail when I noticed a few unusual impressions in the sand. They were just smaller than the size of my palm and didn’t quite resolve into anything familiar. They also had a weird spiral in them.
Well, there is never a dull moment on that back trail, so I accepted the challenge of solving the…
Rethinking Synchronicity
The weekend after Thanksgiving, I worked at a holistic art fair with Carmen and Janet from Aligned Wellness and Events. It was one of those fun weekends where all we had to do was show up, be present, and connect.
During a lull, Carmen and I were talking about her use of a pendulum. The conversation shifted naturally to dowsing rods. I shared that I had bought a pair years ago, probably fifteen or so, when I first moved to Colorado. What stood out about them was that they had crystals on them…
When the World Feels Like It’s Waking Up (and Falling Apart)
Lately, it feels like everyone’s holding their breath. The government shutdown has stretched into what’s now the longest in history. Alongside it, fears about AI taking over continue to grow, job losses are accelerating, and speculation about what the 3I/Atlas comet might mean has filled our social media pages. Uncertainty is thick in the air.
And yet, beneath all of that, I’m noticing something else. People are showing up for each other. When SNAP benefits were in question, communities organi…

From Reform to Conscious Creation: The Path Forward
Beyond Words: The Future of Communication Is Energy and Presence
Have you ever gone for a walk and felt like you weren’t really alone? Not in a creepy way, more like there was something familiar walking with you. That happened to me last month. On that day, the air felt different, almost mystical, and I was curious about what might unfold. I felt tapped in, and I was guided off the path to explore other parts of the land.
Not long after, I noticed some juniper trees I don’t remember seeing before (the land is full of them). I believe there’s symbolism in a…
Separation by Design: Why the walls we see in the world often mirror the ones we build within ourselves.
Separation by Design: Why the walls we see in the world often mirror the ones we build within ourselves.
I’ve worked from home since 2008, in different homes and in different states. Solitude is familiar. I enjoy my space. But even so, there are days when I miss people in the flesh - the right people. The ones I feel aligned with energetically.
My circle is small but steady. It keeps me connected, grounded, and reminded that real connection still exists. I am also connected to my inner truth…
