When I first began working in the Criminal Justice system, I was deeply committed to making a difference — but over time, the weight of the work began to drain me.
In search of something more, I reached out to a holistic health practitioner who was also a shamanic healer. On the very first day we met, she handed me an oracle deck and asked me to pull a card.
I drew Lilith.
That moment shifted everything. Lilith has walked beside me ever since — not as a distant myth, but as a guide. She is the woman who refuses to be diminished. The one who claims her wisdom. The one who walks away from what no longer serves and lives from her own inner authority.
Lilith became my compass, leading me to reclaim my energy, rediscover my voice, and live without compromise.
And now, I’ve created a space where you can do the same.

About Your Host – Barbara Ann Jacques, Ph.D.
I’ve spent decades working in systems — especially the criminal justice system — a world that can demand everything you have. Through my work with Disrupting Gracefully, I blend my background in justice work, higher education, and systems with years of experience in energy healing, ancient wisdom studies, and intuitive practices to help women do the same. Lilith Rising is the space I wish I had — a place to return to yourself, surrounded by women who are doing the same.
